How We Work

Every client is different. At UNEVIS X, we believe in providing tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. Our pricing process is designed to create a bespoke pricing structure for every project, ensuring you get the best value and results.

Custom Solutions

We offer several different pricing structures, including fixed-price contracts, time and materials, and performance-based pricing. Our goal is to find the best fit for your project, ensuring transparency, flexibility, and alignment with your business objectives.

Our Pricing Process

Step1

Initial short video call to discuss the project to understand the goals and ensure we are a good fit.

Step 2

During the second video call, we discuss scope and agree on the pricing structure and contract type.

Step 3

We then present a detailed proposal, finalizing the scope of the project and confirming the agreed-upon pricing structure.

Step 4

We Formalize the agreement by signing the purchase order and initiating the project.

These are our Typical Pricing Structures

Time and Materials

Flexible and Evolving Projects

For projects involving in-depth research and development, where specific tasks are not fully known ahead of time, we typically use a time and materials contract. This structure is ideal for projects that are not well-defined or are likely to evolve. The majority of our development projects are structured this way to offer the flexibility needed to deliver the most value to your business.

Fixed-Price

Well-Defined Projects with Clear Deliverables

If a project is well-defined and the tasks are identified upfront, we may use a fixed-price contract. In this case, we develop a detailed project plan and provide an estimate of the costs. This option is suitable for projects that are unlikely to change scope midway, such as AI as a Service (AIaaS) like Polygon Reduction, Realtime Optimization and other Content Creation services. These projects are usually completed within a few days or months and often include phasing to allow for staged payments, adding flexibility.

Time & Materials with Minimum

Budget-Constrained Projects with Flexibility

There is also a middle ground, a fixed-time contract, where the budget is constrained but deliverables are not guaranteed. This approach provides a balance between cost control and project flexibility.

Main Factors Affecting the Price of a Project

Factor

Example

Work/Project Type Consulting vs. Development vs. AI as a Service
Complexity of the Domain Simple automation tasks vs. complex AI systems performing structural and visual analysis
Impact of the Problem Minor process improvements vs. safety-critical solutions vs. research & development
Size of the Problem Small data analysis vs. global-scale production
Speed of Delivery Standard timeline vs. accelerated timeline
Risks Involved When Accepting a Contract Fixed-cost contract with an up-and-coming company vs. a time and materials contract with a large enterprise

Explanation:

  • Work/Project Type: Different types of projects require varying levels of expertise and resources. Consulting projects typically demand more specialized knowledge and thus can be more costly than development projects. AI as a Service, such as polygon reduction and synthetic photo shoots, offers flexible, scalable solutions that can vary widely in cost depending on the specifics of the service required.
  • Complexity of the Domain: More complex domains, such as AI systems performing structural and visual analysis, require advanced algorithms and more development time, increasing the project cost.
  • Impact of the Problem: Projects with significant impacts, such as safety-critical solutions, require rigorous testing and validation, adding to the cost.
  • Size of the Problem: Larger-scale problems, such as global-scale production, involve handling vast amounts of data and more extensive infrastructure, driving up costs.
  • Speed of Delivery: Sometimes fast is not fast enough. Projects with accelerated timelines often require additional resources and increased effort, which can drive up costs compared to those with standard timelines.
  • Risks Involved When Accepting a Contract: Projects with higher risks, such as fixed-cost contracts with immature companies, often require a premium to account for potential uncertainties and challenges.

While we charge similar amounts across the full range of projects, there are some variations:

  • Consulting tends to be more expensive than Development due to the specialized expertise required.
  • AI as a Service (AIaaS) can offer cost savings bigger than near or offshoring solutions with better flexibility but varies based on service specifics.
  • In the long run, Fixed-Cost projects tend to be more expensive than Time and Materials projects due to the risk and uncertainty factored into the pricing.
  • Accelerated timelines for projects can increase costs due to the need for additional resources and expedited work.

Indicative AI Project Pricing

Project pricing depends on many factors, but below are some examples from real projects we have worked on. These examples are not intended as a quote for your project, but rather to give you an idea of the pricing structures for similar projects. For your specific project, we will develop a bespoke quote tailored to your unique needs.

Digital Vehicle Twin AI Optimization

A startup needed a digital vehicle twin in real-time for a trade fair show. Missing the deadline would have jeopardized the entire event and risked losing their client. After trying manual retopology and contracting multiple game studios without success due to quality reasons. This lead them to us with just a week to go. Using our proprietary AI digital vehicle twin real-time conversion, we met the deadline and delivered the project successfully.

AIaaS Fixed-Price Contract
Indicative Hourly Rate: € 150 – € 250

AI Development Project

A large OEM sought to optimize their processes and required engineers with a unique set of skills: consulting, process development, software engineering, UX/UI, and data engineering. UNEVIS X’s reputation for process automation led the client to approach us directly. The goal was to help the client optimize their processes and integrate more AI-powered tools.

UNEVIS X provided a team of three software-oriented data engineers and one process consultant to achieve these objectives.

Time & Materials Contract
Indicative Hourly Rate: € 150 – € 300

WebGL 150% Digital Vehicle Twin Conversion

A large agency requested WebGL models for an automotive manufacturer to enhance their showroom configurators with a WebGL experience. We were contracted to deliver 6 fully configurable models within a moderate timeframe. The agency handled the configuration logic.

AIaaS Time & Materials with Minimum Contract
Indicative Hourly Rate: € 100 – € 150
